And another problem: after trying to install 'plg_jcomment_com_abook_3_0_0.tgz' I get the error massage Can't find  xml setup file, and indeed that file is missing in the .tgz file.

Bert, you have to copy the uncompressed file to the jcomment folder components/com_jcomments/plugins/
