ho provato con: su

e poi

apt-get install vlc

e funziona.

In effetti potresti provare ad installare solo vlc. Se non sbaglio libdvdcss2 serve per vedere i dvd.
Io non ho installato vlc, per cui non ti so dire. In genere lo uso live quando mi serve e/o per provare le versioni nuove.

Grazie a tutti ho risolto. ;D

Non avevo  fatto sudo apt-get upgrade ::), quindi i pacchetti non si installavano.
Dopo ho fatto come ha detto Fiodor e ha funzionato.
