Installation failure

Hey there,

first of all, thank you for creating that component.
It seems to be pretty good.

I was trying to install it on my Joomla 2.5 site after downloading the .gz file from your download page.

Unfortunately it doesn't work. It will always notify me, that the XML Installation file is missing.

What am I doing wrong? I am using Joomla for quite some time and never experienced that.

Hi ChrisS,
if you are using joomla 3 you must to install abook 3.1.0, if you are using joomla 2.5 you must to install abook 2.0.4.

thank you for the reply! I did try to install abook 2.0.4 on my Joomla 2.5 and it didn't work.

strange... you can try to install Abook from directory. Go to Extension Manager->Install then you have to use "Install from Directory" form. See the guide https://help.joomla.org/proxy/index.php?option=com_help&keyref=Help25:Extensions_Extension_Manager_Install#Links_to_Other_Screens
