Greetings.  I have tried to search for my questions and I cannot find answers, at least not in English.  Here are my questions:

I have books that are in English, books that are in Classical Arabic, Books that are in Modern Arabic, books that are in Spanish, books that are in Urdu, books that are in Persian, and books that are in Turkish.

I would like to know how to set the book language designation for each book as a searchable field that I can also get reports for. I could not find a field marked "language" in the admin panel for books in the online demo available.

Can I write the titles in a language other than English and if so, are non-English titles populated in search results?

For books in other languages, can I make the title in that language and then have another field for an alternate title so that I can translate the title into English and list it in that alternate field and have it show up in English search results as well as the book's actual language results?

Can I or users search the catalog using other input languages in the search bar for the catalog?

If I install the correct language packs, can viewers choose the language they want to use for the site so that the labels for book details and search result column labels are in their desired language, or can they only use English if I have made the site in English?

Is there a way to designate books are reserve only and may only be used in the library and may not be checked out?

I tried to find these.  They might be good FAQ questions for people with specialty libraries with books in more than one language.

Hi rod,
there isn't a field named "language" in the search form, but that is a good idea, I will put it in my todo list

You can set the language foreach book, if you enable the joomla language plugin the visitors will see only the books by the own language.

The search field allows the search by english and non-english title.

I suggest to install Abook and try yourself you need
