Books count sum within categories

If I have 3 category levels with parenting, and one book on the last level, the parent category doesn't show the number of books in that dependency.
Is there any way of count books and sum them within categories and subcategories?

No, there isn't. The book count over sub sub categories requires many efforts by server.
