Hi iberan,
thank you very much!!! I will apply this fix in the next version.

In your opinion is it better I rename "state" field in both database and code?
In joomla documentation it is unrecommended to use "state" field but in #__content table there is "state" field instead of "published".

Experienced this strange surprise after upgraded Joomla to 3.9.1: you can't use some important actions (ie. publish/unpublish, delete items) in books list.

After a couple of days I'd localize the reason: there is a new getColumnAlias() method in /libraries/src/MVC/Model/AdminModel.php core file at #1065:

Code: [Select]
// Prune items that are already at the given state

if ($table->get($table->getColumnAlias('published'), $value) == $value)

{
unset($pks[$i]);

continue;

}

}

Resolved via Joomla Documentation Wiki (https://docs.joomla.org/Column_alias) you may enter setColumnAlias() method at the beginning of /administrator/components/com_abook/tables/book.php:

Code: [Select]

class AbookTableBook extends JTable
{
public function __construct(&$db)
        {
        parent::__construct('#__ibfolktrack', 'id', $db);

$this->setColumnAlias('published', 'state');
       }
.
.
.

I hope it helps someone.

This is a notice, I will fix it as soon as possible. but it's not a blocking error, if you want to avoid seeing it you can set the error level to "none" (global configuration->server->error reporting)

Hi dimpap,
you could make an override of module in your template. Look for "How to override module template" in Google. There are many tutorial about this practice.

Ciao,

How can I force book title - author to appear under book frontpage pic?
As I was trying to do so by browser inspect feature, I found that it can be done by changing font-size and line-height in... some css.
How can this be done without affecting other text in the page?

Joomla 3.8.12 and Abook 3.1.4 php 7.1.23

when editing a book in Admin panel 4 identical errors are shown :
Notice: Undefined index: data in /home/-----/public_html/administrator/components/com_abook/models/book.php on line 92

Looking at the file I see a comment above at line 91 which I think (according to google translate) says the next line is a fix for an issue you don't understand.
Looks like the issue must have been fixed in a recent Joomla update as if I simply comment out line 92 it all appears to work ok.

Thanks
