I'm tested this great component/module today. I've found it very interesting...because of this I want to contribute with a translation: ca-ES (catalan).
The translation is working, but I've "?" symbols on accentuation in the backend. It's a problem of my translation, alexandria component or some missing configuration in joomla?
Catalan language uses "`","´","¨" and the keyboard layout uses ISO-8859-15 (latin-9)..I think that the problem is the inicode?
[I'm using last alexandria book library component/module and joomla 2.5]

You have to use UTF-8 Unicode text encoding.
You can try to create a new file using UTF-8 encoding then copy and paste the translation from old file to new file.
