Is it possible to turn off some filters on the search page of the site?
I unlock them in the Control panel, but they do not disappear on the search page.

yes, you can hide some filter option. You have to create a menu item for abook search then hide some filter options in "List layout" tab.
I did as you said, created a Search menu, and configured the display of filters in it, but nothing helps.
All filters are available.
