I tried to use the abook module several times. Cloning the module is ok as it gives u the options to showp books in different orders but I was wondering if it was possible to use different layouts for the cloned abook modules? In case yes how can this be done!

yes, you have to use the alternative layout function.

I am trying to set the parameters for displaying the books horizontally (forexample x per row) but no luck yet. I also set the module position to horizontal but nothing changes. Will you be so kind enough to have a look at it.

Yess after a clean installtion (joomla) it did work. I dont exacyly know what the problem was. anyways it is now solved. I will post it if I got other issues with it.
btw: What would be the steps undertaken in order to make the (library clickable) so if someone wants to know the list of books published by this patricular library so that they can see? I assume that it needs the same configuration as the "author". Am I rght?
